These were flat pack milk cartons that I suggested the kids make into houses. Whilst I assembled the milk carton, the kids did all the decorating themselves - even Olivia. From the top
1. All three kids proudly showing off their creation - Annabelle in the middle
2 & 3. Annabelles house. She wanted it to be a rainbow house so designed rainbow features. You can just see the coloured sticks that created the rainbow on the side. She also had a rainbow tent on the other side - same sticks but in a tent shape. And then she coloured in the inside.
3. Olivia's house. She loved using stickers to decorate her house. And also like putting big globs of glue everywhere, which unfortunately now that the house has dried cant be seen.
4 & 5. Matildas house. Matilda designed and created the 'picture frames' that are inside on picture of the house in picture 4. She firstly stuck on the green backing and the stuck on each individual picture. She also put a mat inside. It is a bit hard to see it in the picture but she found a while piece of cardboard, stuck two pictures on it and it is sitting at the back of the inside of the house.
This activity kept them entertained for ages, they were so intent on creating masterpieces.
When we got up this morning Annabelles said 'sometimes when I go to sleep and close my eyes, they make a story on them'. I thought this was a gorgeous way of describing having a dream!
