Little helpers
Christmas morning 2011
the kids got bikes from Santa and a trampoline from us (very lucky this year!) and so the morning was spent riding and bouncing.
1. this photo cracks me up. The helmets (smallest I could get) are still a little big for Olivia.
2. The kids love the trampoline. Annabelle is in the red t-shirt
3. practicing on their new bikes, Annabelle in red, Matilda in purple.
4. Another one of Olivia in her new helmet
5. What Santa left.
Fun Photos - Nov 2011
2. the new way to sleep. Liv has moved to a 'big bed' this month and we have a matress underneath to catch her when she falls out. This is how I found her the other night.
3. Very exciting!!! - the girls moved into big beds in early December. And this is what they look like. The kids were really excited about getting the beds.
4. Matilda standing in front of our 'Christmas display'. The kids did the little foam pictures.
5. This is how I found Annabelle one night..... oh to be a kid and able to sleep anywhere!!

Olivia's 2nd Birthday (Part 1)
Her favourite thing at the moment is singing, and she can keep up with the majority of the songs the big kids sing. Very cute hearing a two year old singing 'yellow submarine' and 'miss mary mack'.
From the top -
1. Three party girls. We went out to Damians grandfathers the weekend of Olivias birthday and decided to have a little party to celebrate. The kids loved their party hats! Matilda is in the middle.
2. Reading with Grandad, and laughing lots and lots at the book - called 'Press Here'. Its such a great book (we gave it to Liv for her birthday), which involves a yellow dot that you press & get different results with.
3. Olivia proudly sitting in her new camping chair
4. Annabelle (left) and Matilda helping me decorate the 'ladybird' birthday cake.

Craft Houses
These were flat pack milk cartons that I suggested the kids make into houses. Whilst I assembled the milk carton, the kids did all the decorating themselves - even Olivia. From the top
1. All three kids proudly showing off their creation - Annabelle in the middle
2 & 3. Annabelles house. She wanted it to be a rainbow house so designed rainbow features. You can just see the coloured sticks that created the rainbow on the side. She also had a rainbow tent on the other side - same sticks but in a tent shape. And then she coloured in the inside.
3. Olivia's house. She loved using stickers to decorate her house. And also like putting big globs of glue everywhere, which unfortunately now that the house has dried cant be seen.
4 & 5. Matildas house. Matilda designed and created the 'picture frames' that are inside on picture of the house in picture 4. She firstly stuck on the green backing and the stuck on each individual picture. She also put a mat inside. It is a bit hard to see it in the picture but she found a while piece of cardboard, stuck two pictures on it and it is sitting at the back of the inside of the house.
This activity kept them entertained for ages, they were so intent on creating masterpieces.
When we got up this morning Annabelles said 'sometimes when I go to sleep and close my eyes, they make a story on them'. I thought this was a gorgeous way of describing having a dream!

The Perfect Day
Today has been the best day. We have all worked/played out in the yard all day and the kids have just had a ball. Dam parked the car in the yard and told the kids it needed washing and they tried so hard!!! They all got so involved and we didnt even have tears when Matilda was in control of the hose and shot water straight over the car all over Olivia. We also got a bit of painting and some gardening done. A lovely, homey, family day.
Matilda is the very fashionable one in the beret!! She didnt take this off all day and really loves wearing it in general. Annabelle in the lighter coloured top and Olivia now looking very much like the older two in the pink jumper.
