December 2012

1.  Two little angels in their end of year daycare concert.  Annabelle is in the back row in pink and Matilda is on her left.
2. I just thought this was a cute photo - Annabelle in the pink hat, Matilda in white.
3. ....... getting ready for Santa!
4. Lucy is now officially in 00's.  She weighed in at 5.5kgs at 6 & 1/2 weeks and was 59cm long - in the top % brackets for height and weight for her age - I think she is going to tower over all the other kids!!
5. Big sister Matilda watching over Lucy
6.  A close up of the previous shot of Matilda
7.  Lucy all dressed up to go to a birthday party
8. Olivia on arrival home from the birthday party - displaying the party bag goodies and her beautiful face paint.

Mud, smiles and 'lick sticks'

1. The kids having fun in the mud!!  They spent nearly two hours playing and creating 'oceans' with their playdoh shapes - seahorses/crabs and a fish.
2. First smiles.  These started at about 4 weeks, but became really apparant at 5 weeks.  Very cute.  She loves the sound of people laughing and that is usually what triggers a smile.
3, 4 & 5.  Hmmmmm...... Miss Olivia with her big sisters 'lick sticks'.  Olivia cracks me up so much - this series of photos is how she spent most of one day..... carefully applying (is the first two pictures) and then walking around with her mouth half open so as not to damage the applied lipstick.  Took me a while to work out why she was walking around looking like this,  and talking like she has just had a filling done at the dentist.

Lucy at 3 weeks

From the top
1 & 2.  Damian holding Lucy at 3 weeks old - she has put on so much weight.
3. A late night photo - not very pretty!! - maybe I shouldnt have used the flash!  She was looking very peaceful and cute before I took the photo.
4. Say 'playdoh'.  Playing playdoh on a rainy day.
5. Matilda with her tray of sausage sizzles
6.  Annabelle with her many creations - all sweet foods I was told as lately she has an aversion to fruit (so she says before tucking into a big plate of fruit).
7. Playing in the Manly salt water swimming pool.

More photos of Lucy

I realised after looking back over the photos I had put up last night that I didnt have any with Lucy with her eyes open.  So I took a few more photos last night & today and here they are.......

1 & 2 are when she was pulling some funny faces when she was really hungry last night.
3, 4 & 5 - nearly getting to a smile (ok, so way too early, but it looked a bit like one!)
6 in the swing
7 chilling out with Matilda before bedtime

Also, just a note for myself of some of the funny words all the kids still say -
accinent - accident, hostibul - hospital, ambliance - ambulance..... funny that they are all sort of related. Also bremember - remember. And Olivia says 'too-shirt' for t-shirt

Introducing Lucy Harriet Gwynne

Introducing..... Lucy Harriet Gwynne, born 29/10/2012 at 4.56pm, weighing 3.89kg and 56cm long.

The first two photos are taken in the first 48 hours of her life - perfect!

The next three photos are of Lucy with her very proud big sisters - the first is Olivia then Matilda & then Annabelle. These are taken while we were still in the hospital.

The next three photos are when Lucy is about 12 days old - me with her in the sling, her sleeping and Lucy and I while the other three were taking forever to eat their dinner.  She loves to sleep like in the photo - one very cute starfish - and if I even contemplate wrapping her up in anything she fights like crazy until she is free.

She is a very relaxed little (or not so little - she has huge feet and a big arm span) girl so far. Still in that very sleepy, under two week old baby phase. The three older girls love her and just want a 'nurse' everytime she is awake.  They are all determined to pick Lucy up themselves - which is painful to watch.

And then just some general photos from the last few weeks -
The kids wanted to 'trick or treak' (as they call it) but I was so not interested at 40 weeks pregnant.  We let them get dressed up and run from the back door to the front and we pretended they were knocking on our door for treats. They looked perfectly respectable from the front of their costumes.... until they turned around!!

The next photo is of the three girls on the night of their physie concert - Matilda on the left, Annabelle on the right.  They had such a great night and loved performing on the stage.

Next photo is of a boat the kids made out of some boxes.  They pretended they were a cruise ship, on the way to Magnetic Island with all their teddies as guests and then they pretended they were pirates.

Lastly - this is Matilda devouring one of her favourite dinners at the moment - tacos.  I just loved the photo.

Me at 38 weeks of the third pregnancy

Photos
1 & 2  - figured I should put some photos of me as well.  These were taken at about 37/38 weeks.  I think I look bigger in reality than what the photos show up.  Definitely on the countdown!!

3.  Took this when we went out to brekkie the other morning.  Really loved the moment where we could be enjoying our brekkie and the kids were chilled out watching the water.

October 2012

From the top
1. Damian bought the girls a lip gloss home after being away for a few nights - this is them lining up for the mirror to apply it....... gave me a brief insight into future years!!
2. The kids feeding our resident magpie - he comes to the railing and sings until someone gives him some food.
3, 4 & 5 - the girls new room..... very pink!!! .... its one big L shaped room.  Annabelle and Olivia sleeping in the beds beside each other and Matilda in the other one.
6. Annabelle after falling off the back table and breaking her collarbone.

Olivia's 3rd Birthday and Swimming lessons

From the top
1. Enrolled the kids in swimming lessons this year as they completely refuse to put their heads under the water for me.  They absolutely love the lessons and the teacher and are already putting their faces half way under after only two weeks!  I loved this photo - all lined up and excited to start the lesson.
2.  Matilda heading out on the kickboard.

And... the Birthday girl!!
3. Olivia decided she wanted a train birthday cake (I think heavily influenced by Matilda's decision from last year), and this is what it ended up looking like.  Not the best cake I have ever done, but I was a little short on time this year.  Anyway, she loved it.
4, 5 & 6 - sitting down to blow out the candles.
7. Trying on her new 'leotard' - something to wear to dancing when the girls wear the dancing leotards.
8, 9, 10 & 11 - and now trying on everything else she got for her birthday - sunnies, handbag, headband, bracelets.  And, as you can see she really warmed up to the camera once she had everything on.  Absolutely loved being the centre of attention!
