Ahhhh.... the irony!!

Both teeth are now back out. The other one fell out by itself yesterday. Been to the dentist today who said it all looked ok, now we just have to wait until her next set of teeth start coming through. Just another 4 odd years!!!
But, how funny, Olivia is addicted to toothpaste and as soon as the bathroom door is open she is fishing in the draw for any toothbrush and paste. So, for the last three days I have had to remove them all completely so she didnt do any more damage to her teeth/gums while they were so tender. These photos were taken today...... a happy girl once again! She was so excited to see the toothbrush/paste and has hardly put them down all day. I just wish I could explain to her that she is two teeth short, and probably really doesnt need to brush the gaps all day long!
In the middle photo you can actually see the gap on the bottom. It looks a little like she is missing teeth up the top too, but this is just cos her top lip is still a little swollen. Kids are so amazing though, you wouldnt even know she had lost two teeth, there are no complaints and her face is healing so quickly.

Poor little Poppet

Hmmmm, not such pretty little pictures! Poor little Olivia took a dive down our back stairs. She went from half way down and I swear she only hit one step, but this is the damage she managed - two front teeth clean out. Her bottom centre one and one to the right of that. And a very swollen top lip. Both teeth went back in later that day, but one has since come out again (when she managed to get her hands on a toothbrush and 'brush' her teeth - which she is obsessed with), and I have a funny feeling that the other one will probably come back out too. I guess it could be worse, could have had more head injuries or it could have been her second teeth, but it was very distressing to see her so upset and of course a little sad to think that she lost teeth that she has only had for a few months!!!
So, the top photo shows the very fashionable 'tooth, gap, tooth, gap, tooth' look, and both photos show how swollen her lip and cheeks are. Given what she went through she has been a very brave little girl
and overall is still pretty happy - certainly enjoying all the iceblocks she is getting.
The next photo is of Annabelle playing in a 'shopfront' that we built and the bottom photo is fingerpainting. Annabelle in the pink shorts, standing up.

Christmas & Camping 2010 - P4

Still camping.....
1. Olivia thought she was so funny and couldnt stop trying to look at the light and giggling. Of course the elastic on the head torch started to slip up her head which made her laugh even more.
2. Matilda fishing...... just like Daddy!
3. Heading for the waves, Matilda out the front, Annabelle then Olivia

Christmas & Camping 2010 - P3

We went to Moreton Island for three nights after Christmas - and managed to get the only three days of Sunshine in the last three weeks - very very lucky!!! We camped and the kids absolutely loved it. I was a little worried that Olivia would take off all the time, but she was so good at staying near by. The two big kids loved fossicking around, finding shells and sticks and lolling around in the hammock, and Olivia just kind of tollowed along behind. As for the water.... Olivia thought it was the best thing in the world. As long as her feet were touching the bottom of the ocean she refused to hold hands with anyone - even when a coming wave meant she could no longer touch. She thought the floatie things we took along were fantastic and pretty much laughed the whole time she was on/in them. She also loved playing in the sand and digging holes and destroying sand castles. Quite funny when a wave came up from behind (if we were sitting on the sand), and washed around her, she would squawk with indignation and then look confused when the wave went away again. - how dare it come and interupt her playing in the sand puddle! Annabelle and Matilda also became so much more confident in the water - still wont put their heads under, but happy to float in/on the toys and happy to wade out to either Dam or I up to about chest depth. We did camp on the western side of Moreton so the waves were very very tame which helped a lot. Saw dolphins in the morning and generally just had a very relaxing few days.
Photos:
1. Olivia on the floatie
2. Annabelle in the floatie ring
3. Matilda in the ring - all three photos taken at Blue Lagoon
4. three little campers mesmerised by the fire, Olivia, Annabelle and Matilda
5. this one is actually taken on Christmas day, Olivia looking pretty

Christmas & Camping 2010 - P2

1. Little Miss Sunshine and Little Miss 'Dare Debil' - as Matilda says (ie Dare Devil). Couple of stories to these ones..... they were a gift from Santa. He must have known that both girls love to play the "Little Mr Men/Miss" pairs game they were given for their birthday. Funny bit about it is Matilda is obsessive over getting 'Little Miss Dare Devil'. So much so that she will play the game nicely until Annabelle gets the DareDevil pairs and then she starts being silly with the cards and not playing properly. She believes that the whole aim to the game is to get Miss Dare Devil, not to make pairs, and once she has Miss DD she refuses to give the pair up. She also takes a lot of convincing to play a second round if she didnt get the Miss DD pair first time round. Very funny to watch. Other story..... when wearing them they will actually call each other 'Little Miss Sunshine and Little Miss DareDevil all day. Obviously Matilda got the 'Dare Devil' T-shirt!

2. Three pretty girls on Christmas day - Matilda, Olivia and Annabelle
3. Olivia LOVING her new babys pram (although sometimes she gets confused and tries to climb in herself - doesnt quite fit comfortably!)......
4. and also loving her new sunnies
5. Love this photo - title of the book so contradicts the face Matilda managed to pull for this one!

Christmas & Camping 2010 - P1

Christmas Morning!!
1. Matilda (left) and Annabelle opening presents from Grandma and Grandpa - to go with the kitchen Damian and I gave them
2. All three girls excited about the 'shell' Olivia received. They jumped around in this one for a long time. The big girls are wearing dress up tails that Santa gave them.
3. Annabelle fishing to the bottom of her stocking
4. Santas footprints. Kids were so concerned that Santa 'had not wiped his feet before he came in..... you dont do that!". Dont know if Santa will have lived it down before next Christmas!!
5. Stockings just after Santa had been - warm and fuzzy!
