Wild Child

Really..... what can I say about this photo?

You wouldnt believe it, but all I have done to Matilda in this image is wash her hair. Luckily, once her hair dries the knots seem to come out really easily.

Backyard Fun

1, 2 & 3 - Olivia trying to keep up with her big sisters. The slippery dip has rollers on it but Olivia is determined to climb up it. Very funny to watch.
4. Matilda in the box and Annabelle opening and shutting the doors
5. Matilda in her crown made at playgroup

Camping

Went up to the Goomburra Ranges (on the range on the way to Warwick) to go camping with Damian's Dads family. We had the loveliest weekend and the kids thought camping was just fantastic. It all started when we put the tent up - they ran around inside it thinking it was the greatest thing in the world. Then we blew up a double air matress and the squeals of delight couldnt have been louder. And it was all capped off by toasting marshmellows by the fire - what more could kids want!
So, from the top:
1. Olivia quite comfy in a camping chair
2. the girls on the air matress in action, Matilda in pink
3. and the sleeping bags in action - they were actually crawling around pretending to be 'wiggle worms'. Annabelle in the black tshirt
4 & 5. Happy campers in the car on the way there. Matilda in pink, Annabelle in black.
And, more for my own records, a few notes:
Two funny things the girls say which I am really fond of:
'Rainbow lorripeets' when they see the rainbow lorikeets in our trees and
can we do that 'tolay' instead of today.
As for Olivia, she has two top teeth to compliment the two bottom ones and is eating like a trooper. Tonight I tried to eat a green chicken curry for my dinner and she virtually attacked me to get some. And she loved it!
The three kids play a great game whereby the two older ones squeal and then Olivia squeals in response - it then escalates into a squealing and giggling session. Olivia also chases them (ie as fast as she can crawl with the funniest slapping noise from her hands on the floorboards) into their room, which again causes many many giggles.

Fun and Games

Just some photos of the kids playing around the house - from the top:
1. Annabelle (right) and Matilda (left) playing hide and seek in the cupboard
2. Matilda looking very fashionable in her 'High 5' boots and backwards hat.
3. Three kids playing in the washing basket - reminds me of my childhood!! (left to right - Annabelle, Matilda, Olivia)
4. A very cheeky Olivia who is now walking her way around things. She had just gone from where she is in the photo, along the glass door, along the vanity doors and to the draws on the far right and then back to where she is. She loves to peer over the bath at the girls, and thinks its hysterical when they splash her. She is also letting go of things and balancing until she lands with a plop on her bottom. She has become very chatty too - responding with a funny little noise whenever she is addressed, or randomly just going 'ya ya ya ya' or 'da da da da'.
