July 09 - the latest addition

Yes, the latest addition to our family is two plastic 'babies'. The girls have become so aware of babies over the last two weeks - we had to borrow two 'babies' from our daycare mum to get us by until I got a chance to go to the shops. I never realised the number of options out there when it came to dolls! Anyway, we ended up with the two featured above, and I think they have been dragged around almost nonstop for the last three days. But its great that the girls are into them. They also rub, cuddle, give kisses to and say goodmorning to the baby in my tummy which is absolutely adorable.

July 09 - 'Big Girl Beds'

From the top -

1. Big girl beds!!!! We have change the girls cots into beds now and they are doing really really well. They fall out all the time, but we have some cushioning on the floor and most of the time they dont even wake up when they hit the ground. They were so excited the day we changed their beds, running between them and jumping up onto the beds and saying over and over 'big girl beds'. The change over went much more smoothly than I expected. Its funny as the beds now look so tiny and they make the room feel much bigger. They are so low to teh ground too, but it does make it easy for the girls to get in and out.

4. On Stradbroke Island - Annabelle thought she was so clever driving the car. Somehow both girls seemed to work out where the volume switch on the radio was very quickly and both decided that they liked the music very very loud. We had a hard time convincing them to hop back into their car seats in the back after this photo.

July 09 - Stradbroke Island

The very bottom of these photos is of Matilda playing in a box. She was determined to get her whole self in so that we could close the flaps up and she could play 'boo'.

2. Annabelle climbing up the play equipment - she actually got up that ladder herself as she got sick of waiting for Damian and I to stop talking. We were both a bit surprised to see her at the top!

3. Annabelle going down the slide. I put this one on so that everyone could see me too, although its not the best photo to see how big my tummy is. Most people are shocked when I say I still have 9 weeks to go - and I cant even use the excuse that there are twins in there this time!!!

4. Matilda looking for 'way-you'lls' (whales). It was definitely a two syllable word all weekend. We did see some whales, but they were a long way off shore and the kids couldnt see them at all.
